The (Middle) Dinner (with Alberto Aguilar)
The (Middle) Dinner consisted of a performance/meal organized by Alberto Aguilar and Rafael E. Vera, to highlight and engage the gradual changeover of the gallery space of Chicago Artists Coalition from the durational exhibition of Amanda Greive to the one of Erik Peterson. The (middle) Dinner was conceptualized in response to the ways in which both Greive and Peterson situate food within broader investigations of the visual world, and then challenged by Aguilar and Vera's ideas of pleasure, pain and the forgotten.
